Josh Avsec was matched with Michelle Arendas on mobile dating application Tinder three years ago but they have taken forever to meet.

After the right swipe in 2014, their conversation started. Well almost. Arendas took two months to reply to Avsec’s casual hi and indulged in a banter. Their exchange stopped to start again and continued in splutters.

Both Avsec and Arendas gave hilarious reasons for their delayed replies and that’s how they have been in touch for three years.

Now, people on Twitter have intervened. It all started when Avsec shared a screenshot of his conversation with Arendas that took Twitter users on a fun ride and now thousands of people are rooting for them. His tweet has been re-tweeted by over 24,000 users and liked by 79,000.

Even Tinder decided to do something to get them to meet.

“It’s time you got together IRL. You have 24 hrs to decide the city you want to have your first date in and we’ll send you there!” Tinder replied to Avsec on Twitter.

Avsec and Arendas are set to finally meet after Tinder offered to fly them to Hawaii as their destination of choice.

Now, everyone wants their love story to finally take off.
