Amid Lindsay Clancy’s trial, questions have emerged about her ex-husband’s current life. Patrick Clancy, her former husband, took the stand on the first two days of the trial and testified about finding his kids fatally injured and Lindsay’s struggles with mental health.
Lindsay, a Massachusetts mother, is facing three counts of murder in the killings of her children Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months. The proceedings are taking place in a Plymouth, Massachusetts, courtroom.

Patrick did remarry after divorcing Lindsay following the tragic murders of their children. People reported that Patrick’s new wife is a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist named Rachel Danis. The couple live in New York City.
Lindsay’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, disclosed the remarriage in court during the trial.

“Patrick Clancy has suffered one of the worst tragedies that anyone could ever suffer. How that guy is not an emotional basketcase is beyond me, and he is trying hard to move on with his life. As the court is aware, they’re divorced, he’s remarried, he has a family,” Reddington said in court.
Reddington's remarks came after Patrick’s lawyer, David Meier, appeared before the judge and asked that there be limited access to the kids’ autopsy records, Patrick’s 911 call and crime-scene images.
Patrick earlier filed a wrongful death lawsuit against some of Lindsay’s healthcare providers on behalf of the estates of their three deceased children. He alleged that his then-wife was prescribed at least nine medications in the months before the incident, adding that eight of those medications were prescribed in a span of just three weeks — between November 16, 2022, and December 5, 2022.

The medications prescribed included fluoxetine (“Prozac”), zolpidem tartrate (“Ambien”), mirtazapine (“Remeron”), clonazepam (“Klonopin”), quetiapine fumarate (“Seroquel”), diazepam (“Valium”) and lamotrigine (“Lamictal”).
Patrick wrote in his lawsuit, per People, that he believes Lindsay killed their children because she “started hearing a compelling and unrecognizable singular male voice that told her ‘this is your last chance’ and that she had to ‘take them’ with [her].”
The lawsuit added that it was the same voice that “indicated to [Lindsay] that she should die ... and that her children would suffer if she was gone.”
Patrick, in the past, asked the public to forgive Lindsay. In an October 2024 interview with The New Yorker, he said, “I wasn’t married to a monster — I was married to someone who got sick.”
According to prosecutors, Lindsay, 35, “acted intentionally, rationally and swiftly” when she fatally strangled her three children at their Duxbury home on January 24, 2023. Her defense attorneys, on the other hand, argued that she is not criminally responsible because she was in the midst of a psychotic episode that stemmed from postpartum mental illness.
Lindsay has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges. If convicted of murder, she faces life in prison without parole. In case she is found not guilty due to a lack of criminal responsibility, she would be committed to a state mental health facility.
