Super Tuesday 2024: Delegates Tracker shows Joe Biden 1,312, Donald Trump 936

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are scheduled to participate in a nationwide organising call on Saturday.

"Join supporters from across the country to get the inside scoop on our campaign's roadmap to victory in 2024 and learn more about how you can play a pivotal role in our campaign throughout the month of March. You won't want to miss this event,” the," the campaign announced.

Other people who will be in attendance, include campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez, other campaign executives, and "special guests".

E. Jean Carroll, a New York City writer who won a lawsuit for defamation against Donald Trump, discouraged Americans from voting for the former president. "Do you want to VOTE for the man who has to pay me $83,300,000 because a unanimous federal jury said he lied?" she wrote on X.

As Krispy Kreme celebrates "Doughmocracy" on Super Tuesday, it is offering customers two free glazed doughnuts.

"While encouraging everyone to vote, our primary role on Super TWOsday will be to sweeten your day," Krispy Kreme's global chief brand officer, Dave Skena, stated in a press release.

Meta on Tuesday confirmed that its various firms – Facebook, Instagram, Threads and Messenger — are experiencing a major decline in traffic.

According to NetBlocks, the disruptions are related to how individuals log in to these sites. Some of these services, particularly Facebook, are popular political campaign tools.

“We’re aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now," Meta spokesperson Andy Stone wrote on X.

Former President Donald Trump is predicting a sweep on Super Tuesday and said he is fully focused on the general election in the fall against the presumed Democratic nominee, President Biden.

Speaking to Fox News, he said: “My focus is really at this point, it's on Biden. We should win almost every state today, I think every state. ...But we—we really look at Biden."

He, however, refused to say whether he would reach out to his GOP rival Nikki Haley and try to mend ties with her.

In Super Tuesday 2024, ad expenditure is considerably lower than 2020 totals.

In 2020, with a more competitive and crowded Democratic field that featured big-spending contenders Michael Bloomberg and Tom Steyer, Democrats spent more than $380 million on advertising in Super Tuesday races, CNN reported.

Meanwhile, as of Monday, Republican investment on 2024 elections totaled just over $5 million.

In 2020, both the contenders spent more than $320 million on advertising, accounting for over 85% of all Democratic spending and more than 80% of total spending.

In a message to Black community on Super Tuesday, US President Joe Biden slammed Donald Trump for not behaving well the African-American community and called his actions “shameful”.

In a radio interview broadcast on Tuesday on K104 in Dallas, Texas, Biden said: “Think about the alternative, folks. If we lose this election, you'll be back with Donald Trump.” “The way he talked about, the way he acted, the way he dealt with African American community, I think has been shameful,” the POTUS added, while highlighting the efforts he has taken for the Black community.

As Donald Trump is already leading over his rival Nikki Haley in the GOP presidential campaign, he is mostly likely to garner the magic number required to formally finish the contest with the support of 1,215 delegates on Super Tuesday 2024.

Both Biden and his vice president Kamala Harris have urged the voters to cast their ballots on Super Tuesday.

“It’s Super Tuesday and polls are starting to open! Your voice is your vote. Make sure it's heard,” Harris said in a tweet.

Out of the 15 states, six will have open primaries on Super Tuesday. These states include Alabama, Arkansas, Minnesota, Texas, Vermont, and Virginia.

Meanwhile, five other states - Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Tennessee - will be available to unaffiliated voters, allowing individuals who are not enrolled with a political party to vote in the primary of their choice.

On the day of Super Bowl, GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley defended her candidacy after her rival Donald Trump declared that she had "no path" to the nomination.

"I don't know why everybody is so adamant that they have to follow Trump's lead to get me out of this race. You know, all of these people deserve to vote. Sixteen states want to have their voices heard," the former South Carolina Governor said in an interview with Fox News.

On Super Tuesday, 15 states and one US territory will hold their 2024 nominating contests, and voters will cast their ballots at their nearest educational institutions, churches, and recreation facilities. Taylor Swift, who has not publicly endorsed any candidate in the presidential race yet, encouraged her fans to head to the polls on Super Tuesday.

She supported Biden in 2020 elections.

"Today, March 5, is the Presidential Primary in Tennessee and 16 other states and territories. I wanted to remind you guys to vote the people who most represent YOU into power. If you haven’t already, make a plan to vote today," Swift said in an Instagram story.

At least, one million people have already cast their ballots in Colorado as of 5 am local time.

According to CNN, voters are voting through mail or drop boxes but in same place in-person polling is also taking place. However, a very less number of people are expected to vote in person.

7:00pm: Voting close in Vermont and Virginia. Caucuses in Alaska (Republicans only)

8:00pm: Voting close in Alabama, Maine, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. The majority of polls in Texas close.

8:30pm: Polls close in Arkansas.

9pm: Voting close in Colorado and Minnesota. The last polls in Texas have closed. Caucuses in Utah (Republicans only)

10pm: Voting close in Utah (Democrats only).

11pm: Voting close in California. Voting is likely to end in Utah (for Republicans only).

Midnight: Voting concludes in Alaska (for Republicans only).

As millions head to the polls on Super Tuesday, voting has just started in some states. Ahead of November elections, March 5 is the biggest day of voting for both Democrats and Republicans.

Voting has begun in in eastern states like as Virginia, North Carolina, Maine, and others, as well as in the Midwest in Minnesota and Iowa, and polls will open soon in Colorado and later in the West.

Incumbent President Joe Biden has urged the countrymen in 15 states to come out and cast their ballot on Super Tuesday.

“If you’re in a Super Tuesday state or territory, polls are starting to open. Now is the time to make your voice heard. Confirm your polling place at http://IWillVote.com,” Biden said in a post on X.

In 2020, Biden won 10 of 14 contests on Super Tuesday. However, this year, he has no serious competition from Democrats and is expected to win every contest Tuesday.

He recently won the Democratic primary in Michigan, but more than 100,000 Democratic primary voters went with "uncommitted" instead of Biden.

On the Democratic side, Biden is almost invincible. The delegate numbers vary amongst the parties, but the method is the same. There are currently 3,934 Democratic delegates in play, with Biden's victory threshold of 1,968. He currently holds 206 delegates and could win the nomination in March.

Super Tuesday is a system that favors front-runners, and Nikki Haley, the last surviving contender to Donald Trump for the Republican nomination, has seen her already slim odds dwindle.

Haley garnered 40 percent of the vote in her native state of South Carolina, but only three delegates, whereas Trump added 47 to his almost unbeatable total.

On Sunday night, Haley won her first primary in Washington, DC, with 19 delegates.

With 2,429 Republican delegates nationwide, Trump needs at least 1,215 to earn the nomination.

For candidates, winning a primary or caucus entails earning the support of numerous "delegates" assigned to each state. Delegates are party members or local supporters of a candidate.

At this point, delegates are crucial because they will vote on the party nominees at the Democratic and Republican National Conventions in the summer. Following a vote by their convention delegates, the two parties announce their official presidential candidate. The delegates effectively support the candidate who has won the most primaries and caucuses thus far in the campaign.

Tuesday's ballot includes considerably more than just the presidential primaries. One of the most important races is the California primary for the United States Senate seat left vacant by the death of Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

Laphonza Butler, the seat's temporary occupant, is not seeking for a full term. Rather than having the victors of party primaries square off in November, California places all candidates in a single primary and sends the top two vote-getters to the general election. Democratic US House representatives Katie Porter, Adam Schiff, and Barbara Lee, as well as former Dodgers great Steve Garvey, have all declared their candidacy.

On Super Tuesday, there are 865 Republican delegates up for grabs. To bag the nomination, the GOP nominee must secure 1,215 of the 2,429 delegates. The Democrats are contending for 1,420 delegates and the party contender requires 1,968 delegates to win out of a total of 3,934 delegates.

Trump has 276 delegates, followed by Biden (206 delegates) and and Nikki Haley (43 delegates).

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has since walked out, has nine delegates, while Ramaswamy has three.

Both Democrats and Republicans will be eyeing for hundreds of delegates on Super Tuesday, but neither Biden nor Trump will be able to secure the nomination on March 5. According to CBS News, Trump may secure the nomination by March 12, while Biden can do so by March 19.

During 2020 primaries, 14 states went to vote. Then president Trump defeated challenger Bill Weld in the Super Tuesday Republican primaries. He won seven of the 11 contests that day, although he lost the largest prize, Texas.

Ahead of Super Tuesday, Biden and Trump have emerged as clear winners. Despite numerous losses in caucuses and primary elections, Nikki Haley has refused to relinquish her presidential candidacy. Meanwhile, Biden's rise to prominence has gone largely unnoticed.

Donald Trump has the support of 244 Republican delegates, while Nikki Haley only has 43. They require 1215 delegates.

Meanwhile, Biden has the support of 206 Democratic delegates and requires the support of 1918 more to ensure his candidacy.
