The government was battling to clean up the city and suburbs in a bid to rid mosquito breeding grounds and prevent the spread of dengue fever, officials said.

The government was also importing a predator bacteria to attack mosquito breeding grounds, officials said, adding that the first consignment of the BTI bacteria should arrive this week from Cuba.
