Parenting leads to happiness

Parents experience greater levels of happiness and meaning in life than people who have no children, a study says. Parents are happier when they are caring for their children than during their other activities, the researchers say on the basis of studies held in US and Canada.

“We are not saying parenting makes you happy, but that parenthood is associated with happiness,” said Sonja Lyubomirsky, professor of psychology at the California varsity.
