A tsunami alert was issued early on Monday after a 6.7-magnitude quake jolted the Java region of Indonesia, Xinhua reported.
The quake struck at 3.06am. The epicentre was at a depth of 24 km, the US Geological Survey said. The quake-hit region is about 400 km southeast of Jakarta.
