Beat the heat, go coconut cool this summer

When it’s summer time, it’s also coconut water time! Rich in essential electrolytes, the power drink helps beat the heat during summer while keeping one hydrated and energetic through the day. But why have it plain all the time when you can give it a fun spin and make refreshing coco coolers perfect for your next pool party. We get you recipes of a few such coconut water-based drinks that’ll leave your guests asking for more.

1) Coconut lavender lemonade

Take a pitcher and pour in 100ml lemon juice, 200ml coconut water, 2 tsp sugar and 100ml water. Shake till the sugar dissolves. Now, add 50ml lavender syrup to the pitcher and stir with a spoon. Garnish your coconut-lavender lemonade tea with a slice of lemon and lavender leaves.

Pour 200ml coconut water in a blender. Add 1 mashed banana and 100ml crushed spinach, and blend until a smooth consistency is attained. Now, add 10gm mango flesh and blend again. Transfer your drink into a mason jar and finish by garnishing with flax seeds.

Add 20gm sliced watermelon to 200ml coconut water, and blend. Now, add 50ml lime juice to the mix, along with ice cubes and blend once again. Pour into a glass and finish by adding 1 levelled teaspoon of salt, and garnishing with a slice of lemon, and melon balls.

Start by mixing 150ml fresh pineapple juice and 150ml coconut water in a cocktail shaker. Shake well, and add 10ml honey and 5gm crushed ginger to it, and shake again. Finally, add 5ml lime juice, and pour the mix into a glass. Garnish your drink with a slice of lemon and mint leaves.

Shake 10gm chia seeds and 10ml water in a cocktail shaker. Add 100ml coconut water,10 ml coconut milk, 3 slices of mango and 5ml maple syrup. Shake well and pour in a glass. Finish with crushed ice.

7) Minty guava with coconut

Mix 100ml coconut water, 50ml fresh guava juice and 10gm crushed mint leaves in a shaker and shake well. Add 5gm peeled guava slices to the mix and shake again. Finish your drink by garnishing with slices of oranges and mint leaves.
