Summers are officially here! And as it starts getting hotter by the day, the sun saps not just our energy levels but also kills our appetite .The ideal way to beat the heat is to start your day by indulging in a smoothie made with fresh fruits to help you feel full and energetic throughout the day. So here are a few quick and easy smoothie recipes .
1) The mint hit with a dose of strawberry
In a blender, add 3-4 mint leaves with crushed cashew nuts, 5 gm sliced bananas and raisins. Then add 20 ml of water, 10 ml of orange juice for colour. Blend the mixture till you get a smooth consistency. Then add 100 gm of sliced strawberries in the blender along with 150 ml of milk in the blender and mix the entire mixture together for 2-3 minutes so that every ingredient is properly dissolved. Garnish your smoothie with mint leaves.
2) The blue mango delight
Take 20 gm blueberries and 20 gm of mangoes and pour them in a blender. Add 5 gm of yoghurt and blend till you get a smooth consistency . After that, pour 100 ml of milk to the mixture along with 2 gm of chia seeds to the mixture and blend again for 2-3 minutes. Finish your drink by adding 10 ml of blackcurrant syrup and whisk it with a spoon .
3) Berry Blast
Take 10 gm of sliced strawberries, raspberries and blueberries each and put them in a blender. Pour 50 ml of orange juice and blend the mixture together for 2-3 minutes. Then add 100 ml of milk along with 10 gm of crushed dark chocolate in the blender. Blend the mixture and garnish your smoothie with a slice of kiwi and cherries.
4) Fresh Kiwi with a pinch of lemon
In a blender, add 20 gm of sliced kiwi fruit with 10 gm of sliced avocado and then pour in 150 ml of almond milk in the blender and blend till a smooth consistency is achieved. Then add 10 ml of lime juice and 5 ml cucumber juice in the blender and blend for a minute. Finish your smoothie by adding 2-3 ice cubes and slices of kiwi on top.
5) Peachilicious coco smoothie
Take 20 gm of sliced peaches and 20 gm of coconut crumbs and pour them into the blender. Add 150 ml of coconut milk with 5 ml of lime juice and 2-3 mint leaves. Blend this mixture for at least 5 minutes till a smooth consistency is achieved. Garnish your smoothie with whipped cream and crushed white chocolate.
