Smrithin Satheesan

Smrithin Satheesan works as a content strategist with Hindustan Times digital since April 2025. A large part of his role involves taking care of mobile news alerts for the HT news app and working closely with the product team. Prior to HT, he has been a media professional with over 16 years of experience working for magazines, TV, digital news and mobile news apps with brands like India Today, News18, Inshorts and Magna Publishing Company (Stardust, Society, Health & Nutrition). His previous assignment involved building an editorial team for Reliance Jio, and running editorial operations for their news app in 12 languages. That stint lasted for 8 years and involved co-ordination with product and tech teams across verticals. He is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Mass Communication - Delhi, and did his Bachelors in Mass Media from Mumbai University.
