Bhopal: 84 couples marry in mass ceremonies
Under the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana, weddings of 84 Muslim couples were solemnised in mass marriage ceremonies held in Bhopal at the Dussehra Ground, Karondh, and Bal Vihar, Bhopal Talkies, yesterday.

Under the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana, weddings of 84 Muslim couples were solemnised in mass marriage ceremonies held here at the Dussehra Ground, Karondh, and Bal Vihar, Bhopal Talkies, on Sunday.
The mass marriages at the Bal Vihar, Bhopal Talkies, were held in the presence of the local member of legislative assembly (MLA) Aarif Aqueel and solemnised by nayab mufti Jasmidad Khan.
The function at Dussehra Ground was held in the presence of the leader of the Opposition in the Bhopal Municipal Corporation Saghir Mohammad and the marriages were solemnised by qazi Junaid Ahmed.
The scheme was started to provide financial aid to needy families for women’s marriage.
