"You cannot welcome me, it’s Bhopal, my Bhopal, I’m home," said Bollywood actor Soha Ali Khan, who was clad in an orange anarkali, during her visit to Bhopal on Friday.

She was here to talk about her upcoming film 'Chaarfutiye Chhokare' in which she plays the protagonist. She was accompanied by producer Vibha Dutta Khosla. The film also stars Seema Biswas, Zakir Hussain, Mukesh Tiwari and others.

Talking about the film, Soha said, "It’s a thriller but addresses a social cause as well. The film is set in a small village in Bihar and highlights the issue of child trafficking. I play Neha who is an NRI. She returns to India to start a school in her parents’ village. She thinks opening a school will solve all the problems of the village. She is very optimistic but unaware of hardships ahead. She comes across three young boys who work for traffickers. She pledges to free them and other children of the village from criminal activities."

She further said, "Despite highlighting a serious issue like trafficking, the film is not at all a boring one. It will entertain the audience throughout."

While doing such issue-based films, actors need to research, study and prepare themselves according to the script. On being asked how she prepared for the movie, Soha said, "The character I play is unaware of all the ongoings and the atmosphere in the village. So, instead of preparing myself for the role, I looked forward for new experiences and then acted on the first instance."

On being asked if she remembers a special moment from the film’s shoot, she said, "The film brought many changes in me. I grew as an actor and as a woman. There were many instances where I had to show physical strength and in some scenes, I had to be emotionally strong. So, there were a lot of special moments. But yes, I did not know driving and as there were many scenes in the film where I had to drive, I actually did what I had been procrastinating since years — I learnt to drive."

Soha will be sharing the screen with ace actor Seema Biswas. "Seema is a powerhouse performer. She is so comfortable to work with. Usually actors ask the director and writer to give them more dialogues and screen space. On the contrary, Seema ji used to ask everyone to cut down her dialogues. It was great to work with her," said Soha.

The film is slated to release on September 26.
