Talking to the media at the Madhya Pradesh State Congress headquarters, minister of state for environment and forests Jairam Ramesh said Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Jinnah represented the trinity of ‘Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh’ in the Congress party in the pre-Independence era.

“The hatred of BJP leaders for Nehru takes them closer to Jinnah, but it’s true that Gandhi, Nehru and Jinnah represented the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh during freedom struggle politics,” he said.

In Delhi, the Congress said Ramesh would be in the best position to explain his “mythological similes”.
