After appearing in a slate of dramatic films, actor Akshay Kumar seems to be missing his ‘Khiladi’ days. In a new video uploaded on Instagram, Akshay can be seen performing a roundhouse kick.

Akshay Kumar’s Gold recently crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office.

“Kicking the midweek blues like,” he captioned the black and white video. Akshay also added the hashtags, ‘FitLife’ and ‘FitIndia’ to his caption.

While he has found great success with his new dramatic avatar, Akshay made his name as an action hero, and has been known to perform his own stunts in films. He also recently took union minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore’s Fitness Challenge and also owns a martial arts gym where he trains girls in self-defence.

His most recent release, the sports drama Gold, has been a success at the box office and among the critics. The film, directed by Reema Kagti, is a fictional account of India’s first ever Olympic gold medal win at the 1948 games. Akshay recorded his biggest ever opening day with the film, which opened to Rs 25 crore on Independence Day. Gold crossed the coveted Rs 100 crore mark in 13 days, becoming his ninth hit in a row. He was recently named among the world’s top earning actors - one of the only two Indians on the list, which also included Salman Khan.

The actor will next be seen in Dharma Productions’ Good News, opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan, and in Rajinikanth’s much-delayed sci-fi fantasy, 2.0.
