Asha Bhonsle will surprise in Mai: Padmini Kolhapure

One of the best performers of her time, Padmini Kolhapure has teamed up with Asha Bhosle in Mai and says that the legendary singer will surprise everyone.

"I think Ashaji is a surprise package in the film. Looking at her energy and enthusiasm at this age, we all got surprised. We were moved and became more energetic. Her love and dedication for cinema is commendable," Padmini told reporters at a promotional event of the film.

Talking about the rapport she shared with the singer, Padmini said: "She is like a mother to me. I am so happy that I got to act with her... It felt great to work with her."

"She is a great singer and actress... I am sure everyone will like her. I feel if I would not have worked in this film, then I would have lost out an important opportunity," said Padmini, who made a name for herself with films like Woh 7 Din, Prem Rog and Pyar Jhukta Nahin.
