It’s been more than a month since Pink released, but actor Angad Bedi is still getting congratulatory calls for his work in the film. Humbled by the praise, Bedi feels it was high time a film like that comes out for public to watch. “Sometimes a film is an outcome of what’s happening around in the society, but it needs a person to take it up keeping in mind everyone’s sensibilities,” he says.

Bedi maintains that it didn’t bother him that Pink was essentially a women-centric film. “It was about three women and a lawyer pitted against one guy and that was me. I’d rather take it as a compliment. My character in the film was totally different from what I am in real life. The character had a lazy arrogance about him and who uses his power of money,” he says.

Angad feels he couldn’t have been luckier to work with a living legend like Amitabh Bachchan. “I would rehearse for four hours with Big B before the scenes. Our courtroom scenes were twelve pages long and just to go through that, an actor needs divine powers. My face off scenes with him made me feel blessed,” he adds.

Recalling the preparations that went behin d the scenes, Bedi admits that to play a situational yet powerful character was exciting but it was challenging too. “All the three girls in the film were cast in the grain and they are like that. But my role was not at all connected to what I am. My hard work had to double up. I had to read books on power and how powerful people respond to situations. I took lot of workshops too,” he quips.
