The first look of Hrithik Roshan’s much-awaited period film, Mohenjo Daro is out. The Bollywood actor teased his admirers with the motion poster of the epic adventure-romance drama directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar.
The poster, talks about the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro in the era of the Indus Valley Civilisation. Hrithik tweeted on Tuesday, “Often the greatest of men have the smallest of beginnings. His name..?... Only the truly vulnerable can be truly powerful!! Are u ready?” And hours later, he shared the poster with the caption, “Manifestation of love and power”
“Right guys, here we go,” Hrithik earlier posted on Twitter along with the motion poster of Mohenjo Daro that did not reveal his look. “Before the British Raj, the Mughals, Christ, Alexander, Buddha and India as we know it, there was... Mohenjo Daro,” the motion poster reads. Co-written, co-produced and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, the film is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Sunita A Gowariker.
Based on romance through the cultures and ancient civilisations of Mohenjo Daro, Gowariker’s movie took over three years to develop. He took help from archaeologists who documented the discovery of Indus Valley Civilisation. The film was shot in Bhuj and Mumbai with short schedules in Jabalpur and Thane.
The movie also stars Pooja Hegde and is slated to hit the theatres on August 12, clashing with Akshay Kumar’s Rustom.
