John Abraham who has two back-to-back action releases — Shootout At Wadala and Madras Café — is certain that both the films will work at the box office. John seems to have gained a new confidence that he has a huge possibility to emerge as an action hero and he is already in talks for another hard-hitting action film with director Sanjay Gupta.

At a promotional event to support his endorsement Garnier Men’s PowerLight’s A Village campaign, John says, “I am working on another action film with Sanjay Gupta. I just love the subject and it incidentally happened to be an action film. For me it’s a plus point that I know that the space is open for me as an action hero.”

The model-turned-actor doesn’t deny that he has taken up wrong films at times. However, John turned out to be a successful producer with Vicky Donor (2012), and the business of a film tops his priority before starting a new venture. By this calculation, he is sure that Madras Café will hit the mark.

“The producer side of me makes sure that whatever I do, I will make sure that its a commercial success. Because of the sheer economics of the film, Madras Café will work. I have selected a script that’s absolutely fantastic,” says John. Isn’t he worried about viewers’ expectations since his maiden production was a hit? “If I cannot create that impact with my film,
then that is a serious issue,” says John.
