Siddharth Malhotra says marriage is nowhere “in the horizon” right now.

Even though Sidharth Malhotra has spent four years in Bollywood, and has several hits to his credit, the actor has no plans of ‘settling down’ anytime soon. “My mum is happy that I’m working hard and enjoying my bachelorhood. So, there is no such plan in the pipeline. Life is too long, and it’s going great as of now (smiles),” says the actor.

to the idea of marriage. “I want to be a family man one day. But so far, I don’t see anything in the horizon. I am enjoying my bachelorhood, my work, and all the love I am getting [for my work],” says the actor, whose name often gets linked with Alia Bhatt. “The ideal thing would be for your work to speak louder than your personal life.

That’s our endeavour. It should be more about your performances and your movies. It shouldn’t matter what we do after pack-up. It is not difficult [to maintain that] from my side, but it’s difficult from the media’s side,” says Sidharth. He is currently preparing for the release of his next with Katrina Kaif.

Ask the 31-year-old how he deals with this constant focus on his personal life, and he says, “I haven’t asked for it (the media attention). But, it is all about understanding that this is part and parcel of the job. I think it is a love-hate relationship. Sometimes, it gets too testing to get noticed or not get noticed. On other occasions, you end up reading stories [about yourself], which don’t even matter. So, it depends on what time what story comes out,” says Sidharth.
