Soni Razdan’s No Fathers in Kashmir finally got a release date for April 5, after an eight-month battle with the Central Board of Film Certification. The makers also shared a new poster of the film to reveal the release date. The new poster shows a shattered screen of a phone which has the photo of two blue-eyed, grinning teenagers.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Ashvin Kumar, No Fathers in Kashmir stars Soni Razdan, Anshuman Jha and Kulbushan Kharbanda and traces the love story of two teenagers in search of their fathers who have gone missing in Kashmir.

Ashvin has previously been nominated for an Oscar for his short film, Little Terrorist and has won two National Awards for his eye opening films on Kashmir — Inshallah Football and Inshallah Kashmir. No Fathers in Kashmir is the third in his ‘Kashmir trilogy’.

The film is about a teenaged British Kashmiri, Noor, who is tracing her roots in search of her father. She meets Majid, a local boy, who is in love with her and takes her to a forbidden area near the Indo-Pak border fraught with danger.
