Priyanka Chopra isn’t someone who wouldn’t give back to the society. The actor is in Jordan on a goodwill mission where she is meeting Syrian refugee kids. She has posted pictures and videos from her Amman tour.
Priyanka Chopra was named the Global Goodwill Ambassador of UNICEF in 2016.
In one of the videos, she is learning how to write her name in Arabic. She captioned the video: Fadi. Seven years old. Was so excited that he knew how to write his name in English but wrote it left to right because he knew Arabic. It was very cute so we learnt how to write his name in English and he taught me to write my name in Arabic.
In another post, she talks about how the Jordan government is trying to help the refugee kids by arranging extra classes and new schools. She wrote alongside it, “A class full of future doctors, engineers, police officers, teachers. What breaks my heart is they can’t even access proper schools as refugee kids... how will they access higher education?? These hopes and dreams.. where do they stand in the reality of their world? The government schools in Jordan have added evening classes and 200 schools to accommodate the growing number of Syrian children which is approximately 120000 children..But it’s never enough. The world needs to help. We need to help.”
On the work front, Priyanka is gearing up for her next Hollywood project Isn’t It Romantic? with Rebel Wilson, Adam DeVine and Liam Hemsworth. The film will release on February 14, 2019.
