Actor Ranbir Kapoor has said that singers play a big role in an artist’s career, and the same holds true for singer Mohit Chauhan, who after the success of Rockstar, is being identified as Ranbir’s voice.

“A singer generally doesn’t get the credit for the importance he brings to the career of an actor. But if you look at late singers Mohammad Rafi, Mukeshji, Kishore Kumar, they used to add a lot to an actor’s career,” says Ranbir Kapoor.

Ranbir is happy that Mohit has also sung for him in his forthcoming film, Barfi. “Mohit babajee (Mohit Chauhan) has sung the title song, Aala Re Barfi, and I am very happy,” says the 29-year-old.

As to his experience in emoting only with actions in Barfi, Ranbir says, “It’s very easy. If you are at a noisy place and if your friend is standing at around a distance of 20 feet then how would you tell him something? You’ll use physical actions or your eyes.”
