Be it the poor salesman (Rocket Singh, 2009), the sauve playboy (Bachna Ae Haseeno, 2008), the deaf boy in love (Barfi, 2012) or the introvert artist trapped in a daily job (Tamasha, 2015), Ranbir can step into any character and make it believable.

Ranbir began his career opposite Sonam Kapoor with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya (2007). Though the film did not set the box office on fire, much was said about his towel dance in the movie. After a few duds including Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008) and Luck by Chance (2009), Ayan Mukherjee’s Wake Up Sid (2009) brought the real Ranbir to the fore: Soon, the actor was impressing critics and fans alike with his performance in Rocket Singh Salesman Of The Year (2009) and Raajneeti (2010).

Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar (2011) and Anurag Basu’s Barfi (2012) established Ranbir Kapoor as the heir Kapoor clan had been waiting for - the perfect chameleon an actor should be. With the two films, Ranbir displayed how he could play a fun-loving college boy and easily switch to a brooding rockstar or the brilliance and finesse with which he played a deaf-mute person.

He does not shy away from experimenting or even going through the rat race that seems to work for the box office.

With the charisma that makes him the sweetheart of thousands and the acting prowess that has bagged him five Filmfare awards in a career spanning nine years, Ranbir Kapoor is certainly looks like the true heir to the India’s greatest showman - Raj Kapoor.
