There’s no perfect relationship: Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareen Kapoor Khan talks about couples breaking up. She says that people shouldn’t compare two relationships.
Unlike many of her colleagues, Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has been quite open about her relationships, be it her courtship with Shahid Kapoor or the fact that she was in a live-in relationship with Saif Ali Khan for five years before marrying him in 2012. With several of their contemporary couples including Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan, and Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Akhtar, calling it quits, we ask Kareena if this unnerves her.
“I don’t understand why the media has to compare two relationships,” says an unfazed Kareena, adding that what happens with one person does not necessarily happen to another. The actor goes on to say that comparing two relationships stems from “herd mentality”. “I don’t look at someone’s relationship and say, ‘Oh their relationship is perfect’. Because nothing is perfect. Life is imperfect. People should stop comparing two relationships. This mentality needs to break,” she says.
The actor, who is going to be a mother soon, has had a successful career, but she doesn’t consider herself as the right person to “give tips” to women who think of her as a role model. “My suggestion to women is to stay healthy and remain fit. They should continue with what they are doing in life, as that’s the most important thing,” says Kareena.
