It starts with AIB’s mostly-in-news-for-the-wrong-reasons comedian Tanmay Bhat taking a jibe at Bollywood’s It girl in Hollywood, Priyanka Chopra.

On Wednesday, Tanmay mocked Priyanka’s firang accent on Twitter.

“When I say @priyankachopra’s name in my head I now automatically pronounce it like “Priyaaaanka Chopruh”,” is what Tanmay, who’s Twitter bio says “Writer, Comic, Podcaster, YouTuber : Co-Founder AIB”, posted.

Not the one to keep mum, PeeCee gave it back saying: “I’m supposed to have the accent @thetanmay what happened to u? Lol.”

Appreciating her sporting response, Tanmay replied: “@priyankachopra hahahaha, slay! ;)”

But along the way, things got heated when Tanmay received some hate from Priyanka fans for his tweet.

And the good girl that PeeCee is, she concluded the fun banter on a positive note by clarifying to her fans that it was all in good humour.

Replying to Tanmay’s tweet that read, “PC fans, kyu mujhpe chadh rahe ho, it was meant to be a compliment what is wrong with some of you smh”, Priyanka tweeted: “Guys it was a joke!! From me and him!! Comedy is the smartest form of entertainment!and @thetanmay has it down!xoxo.”

This was not the first time Twitter users trolled the comedian.

Tanmay was trolled and police action was taken against him for posting a video in May that mocked veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar and Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
