Maggi back with a bang, sells out in 5 minutes online

A total of 60,000 Maggi kits, each containing a dozen packs of the two-minute noodles, sold out on an e-commerce site on Thursday in less time than it would take to cook three packets of the popular snack.

At the start of this week, Nestle the manufacturer of Maggi noodles had announced an exclusive tie up with Snapdeal for the special relaunch of the 2-minute noodle.

“We have witnessed a phenomenal response to this sale from customers across the country. We are happy to make this Diwali truly special for them,” said Tony Navin, senior vice president, partnerships and sategic initiatives Snapdeal.

On November 4, Nestle announced that all the samples of their Masala variant were cleared by three NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) accredited laboratories and the lead content was found to be much below permissible limits.

Fresh stocks are expected on Monday.
