Ludhiana Police: Woman imposter held for extortion already facing trial in similar cases
The accused have been identified as Ramandeep Kaur of Village Shale Chakk of Gurdaspur and her aide Vikram Singh of Prem Colony of Meharban.

A day after arresting a woman imposter and her aide for extorting money from the truck drivers near Transport Nagar, the police produced the accused before the court on Thursday. The court remanded the accused two days in police custody for questioning.
The accused have been identified as Ramandeep Kaur of Village Shale Chakk of Gurdaspur and her aide Vikram Singh of Prem Colony of Meharban.
Sub-Inspector Bhupinder Singh, SHO at Moti Nagar Police station, stated that the woman is already facing trial in a similar case lodged against her in Rupnagar.
An FIR under sections 204, 318(4), 336(2), 336 (3), 319(2) and 3(5) of BNS was lodged against the accused at Moti Nagar Police station.
The woman posing as a police officer along with her aide was arrested for extorting money from truck drivers. After the truck drivers alerted the police, the Moti Nagar police rounded up the woman and her aide.
The SHO added that the police are questioning the accused to know from where they have procured a police uniform. The police are also questioning the accused to know the amount they have extorted from the people.
