Ludhiana: Kin of slain Nihang seek arrest of three more accused; probe ordered
Father of the victim stated that they have produced CCTV footages to the Daba police in which three accused were captured helping the two key accused, but nothing has been done.
Thirteen days after the murder of a Nihang, his parents filed a complaint to commissioner of police Mandeep Singh Sidhu, seeking the arrest of three more persons in the case.

In their complaint, they alleged that a total of five assailants were involved in the murder of their son, while the police booked and arrested only two accused- Ankit and Raju. They accused the Daba police of setting the three accused free.
Kulwinder Singh, father of the victim, stated that they have produced CCTV footages to the Daba police in which three accused were captured helping key accused Ankit and Raju, but nothing has been done.
The commissioner of police has marked a probe to assistant commissioner of police (industrial area B) Sandeep Wadhera in this regard.
Kulwinder said that they procured video clips in which three men handed over their bike to the accused minutes before the murder on June 15. In another footage, his son Jassa was seen followed by Ankit, Raju and three other men.
“We were raising the matter before the police from the day when the accused had hacked my son to death. We had warned the police that we will not cremate the body, but the police officials convinced us to pay the last rites and promised to arrest all five accused, but they did not keep their word,” he alleged.
Nihang Baldev Singh Jassa was hacked to death near Daba police station on June 15. One of the accused used to harass the sister of the victim due to which they indulged in a clash. Due to the rivalry, they murdered him.
When contacted, ASI Jarnail Singh, additional SHO at police station Daba, said that the police are already verifying the role of three men in the murder case.
