SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami condemned the incident and called it a “sad and unfortunate” attempt to disrupt facilities meant for devotees.
Dhami stated that these free transit vehicles assist thousands of domestic and international visitors daily. He added that targeting vehicles associated with the Guru Ghar reflects a mean mentality. The SGPC has launched its own internal inquiry into the matter.
Dhami has also urged the local police to take the incident seriously. He demanded a thorough investigation to ensure strict punishment for the culprits. Local police officials said they are scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify the culprits.
