Delhi receives light rain after city records max temperature of 38 °C
Delhi rains: The city's Air Quality Index (AQI) on Thursday was recorded in the "poor" (215) category around 7 pm.
Parts of the national capital witnessed a light spell of showers on Thursday evening. Several parts of Delhi, including east, central and southeast, received light rain. The regional weather forecasting centre had predicted thunderstorms and dust storms across the capital and the adjoining regions including Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Dadri, and Bulandshahr, for today.

The department in a tweet said, "Thunderstorm/ Duststorm with light to moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with speed of 50-70 Km/h would occur over and adjoining areas of many places of Delhi and NCR".
A cloudy sky with light showers has been forecasted for Friday while maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 38 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to India Meteorological Department, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 38.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average. The minimum temperature settled at 20.7 degrees Celsius, three notches below the normal.
