Virendraa Sachdeva appointed as Delhi’s new BJP state chief
Sachdeva was appointed working president in December last year after the then president Adesh Gupta resigned following party’s defeat in the municipal polls
The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on Thursday appointed Virendraa Sachdeva, who is the current working president of Delhi BJP, as new chief of the Delhi unit.

Sachdeva was appointed working president in December last year after the then president Adesh Gupta resigned following party’s defeat in the municipal polls.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had won the municipal polls.

“I thank the central leadership for giving me the opportunity. I will try to do my best as the state unit chief, and keep exposing the AAP,” Sachdeva said.
The appointment of Sachdeva has come just over a year before the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
In the last Lok Sabha elections, when Manoj Tiwari was the Delhi BJP chief, BJP had won all seven seats.
Along with Delhi, state party presidents of Bihar, Rajasthan and Odisha were also announced.
