Alwar independent MLA runs to protest against unemployment, injustice to farmers
The MLA announced that he would run non-stop from sunrise to sunset on Monday morning protesting the demands of the youths and farmer labourers
To protest against the rising unemployment in Rajasthan and the injustice done to youths and farmer labourers in the state, independent MLA from Alwar’s Behror constituency Baljeet Yadav targeted the central and the state government as he began his protest run at Central Park in Jaipur on Monday.
The video of him running was also shared on Twitter in which he can be heard saying, “I want to tell the government that I have come on the track and I will put my life on the line in support of unemployed youth and farmer labourers.”
The MLA announced that he would run non-stop from sunrise to sunset on Monday morning protesting the demands of the youths and farmer labourers.
“On February 6, wearing black clothes, I will run non-stop from sunrise to sunset in Jaipur’s Central Park for various demands of unemployed youth and farmer labourers of Rajasthan.” Yadav Tweeted on Sunday.
Yadav had in March last year too protested against unemployment and corruption in both state and the centre and ran at Central Park in Jaipur from morning to evening sporting black clothes.
When asked why is he running again, Yadav said till the government meets the demands, this fight will continue. “Unemployment is increasing day-by-day but the government at the centre and state are not serious. The youth of Rajasthan are lagging and people from outside are getting the job. There are many states where youth from outside are not allowed to participate,” he said.
He added that the government is just giving assurances, adding that the centre should bring the law or the state should present a bill in this regard.
Last week, Ashok Chandna, minister of state for skill, planning and entrepreneurship, informed the Rajasthan assembly that the state government plans to give priority to employment to the local youth in Rajasthan. He assured that the state government is forming a policy in this regard.
