Police: Woman jumped to death from high-rise in Indirapuram
Police said the woman was staying with her son in Vasundhara, and had come to Indirapuram on April 19 for her daughter’s wedding anniversary
Ghaziabad: A 65-year-old woman allegedly fell from the 29th floor of a society at Pushta Road in Indirapuram and died after hitting a car parked on the ground floor early Wednesday morning, police said, adding that they suspected it to be a suicide.

Police said the woman was staying with her son in Vasundhara, and had come to Indirapuram on April 19 for her daughter’s wedding anniversary.
“On Wednesday around 3:00 am, she allegedly jumped from the 29th floor of the flat and fell on a car parked on the ground floor. She suffered major injuries and died on the spot. After receiving information from locals, our teams reached the spot around 3:15 am and the body was sent for an autopsy,” Abhishek Srivastava, ACP of Indirapuram circle told HT.
Officials said initial investigation suggests it to be a case of suicide.
“It came to light that the deceased lost her husband about 3–4 months ago and was suffering from depression. No suicide note has been recovered so far, and the autopsy report is awaited,” the ACP added.
