15 persons injured after speeding car rams into devotees in Patna district
Eyewitnesses said that about 50 to 60 persons were on their way to Brahma Sthan, a kilometre from their house to perform puja when the vehicle coming from Samastipur town rammed into the crowd
At least 15 persons were injured with nine of them seriously after a speeding car rammed into a congregation of devotees at a roadside temple near in Patna’s Samastipur district.

The incident took place at about 1am on Sunday.

The locals later caught the driver who was allegedly in inebriated condition and handed him to police.
Station house officer (SHO) Praveen Kumar Mishra said, “The driver of the Bolero has been caught and the police have seized the vehicle.”
“The injured were rushed to Sadar hospital. He ruled out the fact that the driver was under the influence of liquor”, he said.
No FIR has been lodged till filing of the report
Police said at least three injured persons were critical and they were referred to PMCH.
