Police arrest doctor for raping patient
The accused, Dr Dabhade, allegedly developed an affection for the complainant and conversed regularly with her and tried to establish physical intimacy with the victim

The Bharati Vidyapeeth Police arrested a doctor who called a female patient to the clinic to apologise for previously having sexual relations with her. Later, the accused raped her under the guise of administering her injection.
The offender has been identified as Dr Amit Anandrao Dabde (29), a resident of Ambegaon Khurd, and the incident occurred in Kalpanand clinic in the Katraj-Mangdewadi area between July 1, 2022, and April 26, 2023.
The 32-year-old woman recently filed a complaint with the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station.
The accused, Dr Dabhade, allegedly developed an affection for the complainant and conversed regularly with her and tried to establish physical intimacy with her. When the complainant resisted, he called her to his clinic under the pretext of offering an apology. The complainant had come to the accused’s clinic to take an injection. The accused then took advantage of the situation and raped her. Later, he stalked her repeatedly against her wishes. Fed up with his abusive behaviour, she approached the police and lodged a complaint.
