A desperate attempt by the media to get him to talk on the controversial subject of his team's performance made the former India skipper more miserable, reports Vinod Kumar.
Rahul Dravid must have left Chandigarh as a bitter man on Thursday evening. It was here he heard Vijay Mallya – the owner of the Bangalore team – publicly expressing his displeasure over the performance of the team; then saw the team crashing to a massive defeat; and today a desperate attempt by the media to get him to talk on the controversial subject made the former India skipper even more miserable.

The Bangalore team, after suffering the defeat and censure from the owner, had kept themselves busy in shopping and sightseeing for the last two days to unwind their troubled minds. On Thursday afternoon, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Misbah-ul-Haq, Sunil Joshi along with coach Venkatesh Prasad went to Sukhna Lake for sightseeing and quite lunch.
But the moment Dravid stepped out of the bus, he was mobbed by the media, leaving him so upset that he rushed back into the bus and asked the driver to drop him back at the hotel.
"Dravid wanted to relax and have a quite lunch at the Lake along with his teammates. But he was extremely disappointed by the way he was treated by the media," complained team’s local manager Sushil Kapoor.
