Former Australia cricketer Brad Hodge faced a lot of trolling on social media after he commented on video features Indian cricket team stars Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant. Kohli posted a video of the two cricketers promoting a product on which Hodge commented “Amazing what people do for money”.

He had a similar comment for a video featuring Rajasthan Royals players Ajinkya Rahane, Steve Smith and Ben Stokes. “As I said amazing what people do for money,” Hodge tweeted on that video.
The comments did not go down well with the Twitter users as they started trolling him for his comments and the former Aussie cricketer had to issue a clarification.
“Funny, I never did say there was nothing wrong with it. I would do the same. Your interpretation of my comment was so ‘glass half full’ if I attach ??. Your interpretation would be different.”
“Amazing how brutal people are in response. So negative and glass half full. I was not speaking in a negative tone. I would do the same if asked and paid,” Hodge wrote on Twitter.
India will start their World Cup campaign against South Africa on June 5. They will play warm-up matches on May 25 and 28 against New Zealand and Bangladesh respectively.
