‘He could have also cried, done paid TV interviews’: Mohammad Amir's ruthless take on Ramiz Raja vs Najam Sethi
Ramiz Raja was removed as PCB chairman after Pakistan's humiliating 0-3 defeat against England in a Test series at home last month.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) went through a transition as Najam Sethi took over as the chief, replacing former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja from the position. The decision was taken after Pakistan's humiliating 0-3 defeat against England in Test series at home last month.

However, Raja was furious with the decision and launched a scathing attack on the board and Sethi soon after his ouster. In an online interaction with fans, Raja also slammed the new regime for ill-treatment, claiming he was not even allowed to take his belongings from the office. This was just one of the many interaction Raja did, where he was highly critical of the decision. The PCB also took note of Raja's explosive statements and threatened to take legal action against him.

Since the war of words between Raja and the board, several ex-cricketers have shared their views on it, with most slamming Raja for his conduct. The latest member to join the club is former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir, who is hopeful of making a return to international cricket depending on his performance in the Bangladesh Premier League and Pakistan Super League.
Speaking to Samaa TV, Amir said: “You are saying they launched an attack, describing the way they entered. I think they way the previous government brought you, similarly the new one brought them.”
Comparing Sethi's previous stint with Raja's, the pacer then listed out Sethi's achievements and made a bold claim of Raja doing maximum damage during his term.
"Najam Sethi had stepped down from his position quietly. He didn't point fingers at anyone, neither did he do any paid TV interviews, where he claimed that he has been done wrong. If you start counting his achievements, there are plenty. When Zimbabwe first toured in 2015-16, he was there. No one was ready to buy PSL, he ensured that it happened. The list is endless and he could have also cried on TV.
“But you did nothing and talk too much. The amount of damage you've done from 2019-2022, I think Najam Sethi will have to work a lot to rectify them,” he added.
