The Rahul Dravid-led Indian team had secured a 41-run lead over the South Africans in the first innings but were bowled out on 169 in the second innings.

The Proteas, riding on captain Graeme Smith's half-century and important contributions from middle-order batters Shaun Pollock, Jacques Kallis and Ashwell Prince, chased down the 211-run target with five wickets to spare.

India have never won at Cape Town and in 2007, they lost to South Africa while defending a target of 211. Interestingly, the situation in the Test was pretty similar to the one in this game..
