"Getting a 100 on the 100th game means a lot to me. It was tough getting there as my back was getting to me. Happy with 311. Time in the middle is what I wanted, capitalising will help my team. It is a good score as some balls are keeping low," says Hope on his 115.

While Hope etched his name into record books, Pooran also produced a crucial knock, hitting 74 including 6 sixes and a four. Mayers and Brooks also chipped in with 39 and 35 respectively.

West Indies notched up 93 runs in the last 10 overs despite losing three wickets! Kudos to Hope, who entered the rare list of batters to hit a century in their 100th ODI appearance. He became the 10th batter and fourth West Indian to reach the mark in men’s ODIs.

Shai Hope brings up a wonderful century! Absolutely brilliant! He makes his 100th ODI a memorable one, reaching the three-figure mark with a six. He raises his bat to acknowledge applause from his teammates and crowd, and then hits another six, going down the knee and clearing the long-off fence with ease.
