Relentless, accurate, and possessing endless stamina, Majeti Ravi Kiran is the embodiment of a dedicated domestic pace workhorse. Born on February 1, 1991, in Hyderabad, he stands tall with a classical upright action that generates steep bounce from just short of a good length.
Kiran began his senior domestic career with Hyderabad in 2012, quickly establishing himself as a foundational leader of their fast-bowling attack. Over a long and distinguished career, he has sent down thousands of deliveries in first-class cricket alongside strong numbers in List A matches. He developed an enviable reputation for bowling marathon spells in searing heat on unhelpful subcontinental tracks without ever dropping his intensity.
Beyond his bowling exploits, Kiran etched his name into domestic cricket folklore with a remarkable feat of lower-order batting resistance. In a List A encounter against Kerala in November 2014, he partnered B. Ashish Reddy in an astounding unbroken 10th-wicket partnership of 128 runs.
While M. Ravi Kiran officially transferred and opted to play for Chhattisgarh in December 2020, the 2020-21 Ranji Trophy tournament was completely cancelled by the BCCI due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of that cancellation, his First-Class debut for Chhattisgarh was delayed until the following 2021-22 season.
In late September 2026, Madhya Pradesh made a significant move by signing the veteran fast bowler as their guest player for the 2026 and 2027 domestic season.
