Shweta Sehrawat has spent her young career rewriting what is possible for a teenage batter in Indian cricket. Trained at Karnail Singh Stadium under former India cricketer Dipti Dhyani, she emerged through Delhi's youth system as a genuine powerhouse. With fearless footwork against spin, heavy scoring through the off side, and an appetite for taking the game on inside the Powerplay, she quickly established herself as one of the standout batting prodigies of the 2022-23 domestic cycle.
Her breakout moment on the global stage came at the inaugural 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa, where she served as vice-captain of India's title-winning side. She dominated the tournament, finishing as the leading run-scorer with 297 runs at a staggering average of 99.00. Her campaign was headlined by an unbeaten 92 off 57 balls against the hosts in the tournament opener, alongside vital match-winning contributions in the knockout stages. Her leadership credentials had already shone earlier when she captained India B to the Under-19 Challenger Trophy title and led India U-19 to a 5-0 series sweep over New Zealand U-19.
Sehrawat has been nothing short of a record-breaker in domestic cricket. Making her maiden List A hundred against Meghalaya in 2021, her career reached unprecedented heights during the 2023-24 Senior Women's One Day Trophy. She topped the tournament's run charts with 462 runs in eight innings, powered by an astounding 242 off 150 balls against Nagaland. It stands as the highest individual score in the history of Indian women's List A cricket.
In franchise cricket, UP Warriorz picked her up ahead of the inaugural WPL season in 2023. Adapting from her natural opening role to a flexible middle-order position, she clocked over 30 appearances with a series of high-tempo cameos. Ahead of the WPL 2026 mega auction, UP Warriorz highlighted their ultimate faith in her potential by retaining her as their sole player. She has also been a stellar captain and run-scorer in the Women's Delhi Premier League for South Delhi Superstars, leading them to a maiden title in 2025 and continuing her heavy scoring in 2026 with an explosive 75 off 36 balls.
Through mid-2026, Sehrawat has remained a key fixture in India A setups, featuring prominently against England A and in the multi-format series against Australia A. With raw power at the top, composure in the middle order, and a proven appetite for marathon scores in the 50-over format, Sehrawat stands as one of the most closely watched uncapped talents in the country, poised to make the step up to the senior national side.
