After the toss, India 'B' captain Cheteshwar Pujara did not go back to the pavilion. He continued to take some more throw-downs from the team trainer.

Perhaps, this dedication works for Pujara. He scored his second consecutive ton in as many days — the first time ever in the tournament — as he guided his team to a massive 328 for eight in the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy game at the Khanderi stadium on Monday. And, despite a crafty century from Bengal's stand-in skipper, Wriddhiman Saha, there just wasn't enough firepower in the team to upset India 'B', who won by 21 runs.
Pujara (124*) toiled at the crease for 89.2 overs and fatigue was evident as he mistimed a few shots but in the end he was still able to steer clear from trouble.
Scores: India 'B' 328/8 (C Pujara 124*, M Vijay 93; Sandipan Das 5/51) bt Bengal 307 (W Saha 116, Sandipan Das 57; M Patel 4/39, R Jadeja 2/52).
