21-yr-old DU student raped and filmed

A 21-year-old final year student of DU was allegedly raped and filmed by her male friend, a BPO employee, who had promised to marry her. The incident was reported from outer Delhi’s Sultanpuri police station from Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital where the victim was admitted after she attempted suicide on Saturday. HT reports.

According to the police, the accused was sexually harassing the victim for over a month by threatening her to circulate the MMS in public. The police have arrested the accused, identified as Harish Bagga alias Chirag, a resident of Mangolpuri.

According to the victim, she had met Chirag at a mobile repair shop in Sultanpuri this year. Soon, they became friends and Chirag asked her to meet him at a shopping complex in the locality. From there, he took her to his place and offered her a soft drink laced with sedatives. He raped her and filmed the assault after the victim fell unconscious,” said the officer.
