Twenty-three newspersons were on Sunday awarded the Matri Shree media awards for 2007 for their valuable contribution to journalism.
The recipients of 31st media awards this year include Shemin Joy of PTI, Amrit Mohan of PTI-Bhasha, Rajesh Ahuja of UNI, Akash Deep Anand of Univarta and Vibha Sharma of Hindustan Times.
Aditi Kaul of Times of India, Pramod Mehta of AIR and Rajesh Dua of Doordarshan are also among the winners.
The film 'Krrish' was declared the best movie of the year, while Dr Ashok Makhija was selected for the best medical services award.
