The duo, identified as Bhudev Singh and Gambhir, were returning from HDFC Bank in Connaught Place on their scooter.

“As soon as the two reached the Railway Hospital in Paharganj, two men on a motorcycle pushed them and snatched the bag containing Rs 27 lakh. The employees lost balance and fell on the road,” said Jaspal Singh, deputy commissioner of police (central).

Police said the accused work for a money exchanger identified as Trilochan Singh in Paharganj.

“We have registered a case of snatching. The accused were wearing helmets and they would have been following the two men from the bank,” said the officer.
