Two others were grievously injured when the bus, plying on route 33, hit the motorcyclist from behind. The bus then went on to hit a cycle rickshaw and injured the rickshaw puller and the passenger sitting in it.

"The bus was being driven at a high speed. While the motorcyclist died on the spot, the other two have been admitted to a nearby hospital. The driver fled from the spot but we have impounded the bus. We are still trying to identify the deceased," a police official said.
