Bomb scare at Sai Baba temple

The administration of the temple has received an anonymous telephone call threatening to blow up the place of worship.

Panic was created at a prominent temple in south Delhi this evening after its administration received an anonymous telephone call threatening to blow up the place of worship.

The administration of the Sai Baba temple in Lodhi Colony received the threat call at around 5:30 pm, a senior police officer said.

The temple, which is popular among the denizens, was immediately evacuated.

Bomb disposal teams and dog squads were rushed to carry out searches at the temple premises, the officer said.

"We are verifying the details and trying to trace the origin of the call," he added.

The threat call came in the backdrop of serial blasts in Jaipur two days ago in which over 60 people were killed.
