The residents of Block-E Greater Kailash-III finally moved Delhi High Court and sought shifting of the liquor vend at the residential shopping centre in Masjid Moth.

“Nuisance is created by customers of the liquor shops who consume liquor inside cars, side streets and adjoining areas,” Kamal Kumar, president of the resident welfare association said in the petition.

Lawyer Meera Bhatia who represented the police assured the court that everything would be done to maintain peace in the area. The judge directed the station house officer of Greater Kailash to take steps to maintain law and order and file a status report.
