Hundreds of giant kites filled the sky over Mertasari Beach in Sanur as Bali's Rare Angon International Kite Festival brought a spectacular burst of colour to the coastline. The four-day festival has attracted participants from 23 countries, featuring 105 international kites and around 1,000 traditional Balinese kites. Visitors enjoyed elaborate kite displays, traditional competitions, giant character kites, live music and illuminated night-flying shows. The festival runs from July 23 to 26 and offers free entry to visitors.
