Leaving for the airport by the Metro’s high-speed Airport Express Line?

Come October 2010, you will be able to check in at the three Metro stations on the route.
And that’s not all. You’ll be able to reach the airport in just 18 minutes from the Metro’s New Delhi station. Thus not only will you save time on the journey, but also be able to avoid the long check-in queues at the airport.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has added Dhaula Kuan to the list of Metro stations to have check-in facilities, thus making it the third City Airport Terminal (CAT) of the high-speed line. These facilities were earlier planned at New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium Metro stations only.
DMRC officials said the facility at Dhaula Kuan would benefit thousands of commuters, as the Metro station is located at a major traffic intersection serving west, south, southwest and central Delhi.
According to DMRC officials, passengers would get boarding passes at the Dhaula Kuan station. But they will not be able to check-in their luggage there as the Dhaula Kuan station will not have baggage handling facilities.
“This will be useful for business travellers and other professionals who make day trips with little luggage, which can be carried as cabin baggage,” said DMRC spokesperson Anuj Dayal.
